Devils Lake is a city in Ramsey County, North Dakota in the United States. It is the county seat of Ramsey CountyGR6. The population was 7,222 at the 2000 census. It is named after Devil's Lake. Devils Lake was founded in 1882.
The local paper is the Devils Lake Journal. Devils Lake Municipal Airport serves the city. Devils Lake is home to Lake Region State College and the North Dakota School for the Deaf. The present site of Devils Lake was originally Sioux land and the original inhabitants were moved to the Devils Lake Reservation. Devils Lake is located at 48644N, 985135W (48.112259, -98.859722)GR1.
